Through Children First – Pottuvil Osmaniya, Noor Mohamed Foundation has engaged with the school community of Pottuvil Osmaniya Vidyalaya across different Children’s Day activities.
Rather than treating Children’s Day as a single annual event, the initiative reflects a continuing commitment to children, education and community participation — creating opportunities for young learners to celebrate, interact, express themselves and experience school as a place of encouragement and belonging.

More than one day
Children’s Day is a moment of celebration, but supporting children is a year-round responsibility.
Children First – Pottuvil Osmaniya reflects the value of continuity: returning to the same school community, maintaining relationships and creating new opportunities for positive engagement over time.
For Noor Mohamed Foundation, repeated local engagement is more meaningful than treating every activity as an isolated event.

Earlier Children’s Day activities at Pottuvil Osmaniya brought pupils together in a colourful and informal school celebration.
Through balloons, shared activities and time spent together, the occasion focused on something simple but important: allowing children to enjoy their day, participate with their classmates and experience a positive community moment around school.

Children First — 2026
The 2026 edition continued NMF’s engagement with the Pottuvil Osmaniya school community through a Children’s Day activity centred on participation, encouragement and the enjoyment of childhood.
Young pupils took part in shared activities within their school environment, accompanied by teachers, community members and supporting adults.
The occasion created another opportunity to recognise children not simply as students, but as young members of the community whose wellbeing, confidence and development matter.

Visible pupil identification cards have been privacy-protected. Children are represented as learners, participants and young members of their community, never as a fundraising device.

Edition records are maintained separately so dates, participation, activities, materials, costs, funding, approvals and reports can be published only after verification.
